	About Sound by the Sound Sound by the Sound was founded in 1997 by owner/operator Mark Ashmun. Mark started out in audio doing on-location recordings and formed a small post-production studio on Seaview Ave. in Seattle, WA. He gradually expanded his equipment and continued doing on-location multi-track recordings, mixing and mastering them to CD. In 1999, Mark bought the building in Fremont and built the full multi-track recording studio that you see there today. Since then, SBTS has been at the top of its field in providing clients with the highest quality transfers from old reels to CD, records to CD, and cassettes to CD.
